The Newton Free Library Board of Trustees meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 8:30 am. The public is welcome. Please enter the library by the staff entrance.

The Board of Trustees consists of 5 people appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the Board of Aldermen. The composition, terms and duties of the Library Trustees are governed by Section 16 of the Newton City Ordinances, and the Trustees operate under a set of Trustee By-Laws.
