Hall - Simple Complexities by Claudia Kaufman, Aug. 2-30
Reception: Thursday, August 2, 7:00 pm

By: C. Kaufman
As a contemporary realist painter, Claudia Kaufman's works are studies in observation - still life set-ups of familiar objects that are deceptively simple, yet complex. The artist challenges herself to translate the perceived three-dimensional world to a two-dimensional field by observing and capturing the conditions of light, form, color and space through the painterly properties of oils. Simple Complexities will be on view in the Main Hall. An award winning painter, Claudia Kaufman is a member of the Copley Society of Art.
