Contest Information (Now Closed)

The Newton Free Library is celebrating 150 years of serving our community in 2025! Help us commemorate the occasion by participating in our library card design contest. One adult winner and one youth winner will see their designs printed on special limited-edition library cards used at the library in 2025-2026. Honorable mention winners will be featured on the library website.

We’re looking for designs that focus on the library and what it means to you. Designs will be selected by library staff based on artistic merit, creativity, and the message communicated. How has the library inspired you? What do you love about the library? Get creative! You can see what our current four library card designs look like here.

One winner will be selected in each category:

  • Youth (under 18)
  • Adult (ages 18+)

All submissions must be accompanied by a completed waiver and received online or at the library by Friday, June 20, at 6pm. Only complete entries, including a completed design template with name and contact information and a signed Photo/Creative Works Release form, will be reviewed.
