Institutional Library Card Application

The Newton Free Library is pleased to offer a special card to assist the needs of businesses, nursing homes, and other institutions in Newton. Institutional Library Cards are for organizations that require several authorized individuals to have access to a single account. These Library Cards are not meant for personal use. Please note that schools are not eligible for Institutional Library Cards.

After submitting an application, send a letter on your institution’s letterhead to newtonpublicservices@minlib.net or Newton Free Library, Borrower Services, 330 Homer St, Newton, MA 02459. The letter should state which staff are authorized to use this card and be signed by an appropriate authority at the institution. It should include agreement to accept responsibility for all items borrowed on the account.
